Amazing Keystone Colorado

FILED IN Ski Boarding No Comments

As presented in www.FirstLightSports.com

Standing atop Keystone’s pristine mountain peaks at over 12,000 feet elevation, I stared in awe at the surrounding scenery. I’ve been to Colorado many times before and each time it takes me a while to ratchet-up my Midwestern sensibilities for the Rockies . At first the sapphire blue skies and the impossibly white snow of the mountain shocked and thrilled me. I had been at altitude for a full day already and was ready, breathing almost normally, for a full day of skiing at Keystone.

My lodging for this trip was a cozy condo in Frisco, Colorado . We had only a short 15 minute drive to Keystone’s Montezuma parking lot at the base of the River Run village. It was the Tuesday following a busy Presidents’ Day Holiday , and the lot didn’t seem too crowded at 8:30 in the morning. We trundled our group over to Keystone Sports where the manager, Chris, set us up with some skis for the day. The mountain was riding firm and Chris recommended a set of 174cm K2-Apache-Sport skis. That proved to be an excellent choice; they held well and ran fast on the groomers, and felt lively and nimble in the bumps. Chris told me that if it turned powdery he’d swap me into a pair of wider powder skis. The conditions stayed pretty much the same for a couple days, so I didn’t get to try out his powder ski choice. While passing through River Run village a day or two later, I did stop in to Keystone Sports to say hi. As we talked skis for a bit, Chris had Tony, one of the ski techs, put a fresh coat of wax on my skis. I love a service organization.

At the base of River Run there are two lifts servicing the main face of the mountain. The River Run gondola and the Summit Express high speed quad lift. Early in the morning the wait for the gondola can be a bit long, that day it was only about 5 minutes. But there was absolutely no wait for the quad, so we boarded that and headed up. The peak of Dercum Mountain (11,640 feet elevation) is a busy place; six different lifts/gondolas all reach this point. Here also is the Summit House a large building with amenities and facilities for skiers needing food, rest or a bio-break.

As we prepared for the day on Tuesday I got a chance to meet some folks from the Keystone Resort. We ran into Lindsey Fussenegger the Media Coordinator and Spencer Wagner an expert mountain guide at the ubiquitous Starbucks coffee shop. I talked with Lindsey & Spencer for a while as the other members of my group were getting their lift passes and rental skis. They were understandably animated in their attitude toward “their mountain.” Lindsey spoke excitedly about the fantastic programs (ski school, “Play-it-Safe”, Betty Fest, etc.) and was particularly proud of the world class chefs running Keystone’s high-end restaurants. They both offered to ski with our group for the morning, and I couldn’t turn down the chance to get an insider’s perspective. When the rest of my group got there we gathered our equipment and headed for the lifts.

We followed Spencer through the gap and ended up shortly afterwards on another blue groomer called Whipsaw. We skied this run for a bit and then Spencer stopped us to talk for a moment. “What’s different about the conditions here,” he asked. None of us could identify how this run was unlike the last. Spencer explained that this side of the front face was used heavily for the ski school and that the runs here had been double-groomed. The snow-cat drivers set their grooming blades extra deep for a pass, and then make one more grooming run with their blades at regular depth. The result is a groomed run that skis almost like a freshly snowed run. At the bottom we boarded the quad lift again and retraced out our first run, adding a bit more speed and taking fewer stops.

Spencer and Lindsey wanted to get us a good overview of Keystone in a short time. With that in mind, we began to head toward the Outback area. The most expedient route there began from Summit House down a long run called Mozart. Mozart is (from my rough estimate of using a trail map) something just over 2 miles long. It’s like the interstate highway for traversing Keystone by skis. We let our boards run somewhat free and finished Mozart in about the time needed to play the first allegro of Mozart’s own famous clarinet concerto.

We found ourselves at the bottom the Santiago Express lift, boarded it and rode to the top. Here at North Peak the elevation is 11,660. We were now effectively zig-zagging our way up and down toward the Outback. The views continued to be spectacular from the lifts and the runs. Not quite to the Outback yet, we dropped into a run called Anticipation as we began our final approach to the Outback. Anticipation was running half mogul and half groomer this day, and I really enjoyed the opportunity to get into the open rollers and try out my knees. By now the sun was higher in the sky and providing that amazing radiant warmth that only exists in Colorado on sunny winter days.

At the bottom of Anticipation, we found ourselves poised to ride the Outback Express lift. From 11,980 feet elevation the choices at the top of the Outback lift are daunting. To my left and far-right are a plethora of black-diamond runs offering bumps, groomed steeps, and tree skiing. These include the Black Forest runs of Bushwhacker and The Grizz as well as Pica, Wolverine, and Wildfire. Immediately at the step-off point of the lift is a selection of blue runs which includes Oh Bob, Elk Run, Bighorn, and Porcupine. In between Porcupine and Pica is an amazing forest of tall pines that provide an awe inspiring playground. On the days I skied Keystone this no-man’s land was riding boot deep in pristine powder which the trees were protecting, apparently just for me. From the top of the Outback, Spencer pointed out that we could clearly see the lateral peaks and the many descending ski runs of Breckenridge resort. At this point, clearly miles removed from our starting point at Keystone’s River Run, we were much closer to the town of Breckenridge.

Spencer and Lindsey left us as we explored the Outback. The area offers so many options and, although serviced only by a single high-speed quad, there were no lift lines! Out there, we skied almost non-stop, completely unimpeded, and un-harried. It’s hard to imagine a ski day being much better than this one. Clearly it’s among my memorable and favorite ski days.

After a multitude of runs in the Outback we stopped for lunch at North Peak at the top of the Wayback quad fixed-speed lift. A well deserved break was in order but we still had some gas for the rest of the day. Working North Peak ’s front face we skied several blue and black runs including Star Fire, Last Alamo, Bullet, and Ambush. The afternoon sun had warmed us but the snow was still holding firm and light; we didn’t encounter any icy or bare faces. La Bonte’s cabin at the bottom of the Santiago Express provided a venue for some afternoon fun and relaxation. There was volleyball net set up, as well as a horseshoe court complete with steel posts. Neon pink colored horse-shoes helped brighten the game. We worked our way towards River Run village via the Ruby Express lift back to Dercum Mountain. It was nearly 4 pm when we crossed the bridge into the village, and jumped out of our ski equipment. We were pretty much running on empty but had enjoyed an amazing day on Keystone’s mountain.

There are several nice après ski places in River Run, but the one we picked was Parrot Eyes, a Jimmy Buffet-themed margarita and burritos hot spot. The place was packed with people who had spent the day on the mountain and were looking for a drink and some nachos. They specialize in tropical frosty drinks, but were more than willing to bring me a hot-cocoa laced with peppermint schnapps, my traditional après ski libation. That day at Parrot Eyes there was a guy running a karaoke setup, and singers both good and bad were eagerly participating. I was particularly entertained when two 12-year-old girls began belting out Joan Jett’s rock anthem “I Love Rock-n-Roll”. If there had been a “guitar hero” nearby, I’m sure that others would have joined in too. Paying a respectable homage to Jett’s 1981 vinyl-released tour de force, they did a nice job keeping on pitch and on rhythm.

Keystone is a wonderful ski venue that hosts almost a million visitors each year. They have an excellent ski school and run some very interesting programs including Betty Fest, Keystone’s women’s-only skiing program; one of the first programs in the industry to cater exclusively to women with specific training techniques, women’s-specific equipment workshops and pink boas. They also host a “Play it Safe” program which is designed to communicate, educate and enforce the basics of responsible, courteous skiing and snowboarding as outlined in The Skier’s Responsibility Code and the Colorado Skier Safety Act. They host other fun events like The River Run Mardi Gras Street Party and Parade (Feb. 5), The Blues and BBQ Festival (Mar. 29), The Volcom Peanut Butter and Rail Jam (Apr. 12), and other events throughout the season.

Keystone also gets the nod for having the best night skiing in North America . Your daily pass can keep you on the mountain until 9pm daily depending on the season. And as of the 2006 season there is amazing back country skiing available in Keystone’s Independence bowl. Day access to this expert-only skiing terrain is by snow-cat. While it’s a remote feeling venue, a day of back country cat-skiing comes complete with powder skis, a 4-star chef prepared lunch, and a mountain guide. Keystone’s family reputation is well earned and well kept, but there’s really something here for everyone from the rank beginner to the most experienced expert.

We followed Spencer’s lead and set out on a blue groomer called The Flying Dutchman. Even with the modest crowds this run sees a lot of traffic. We got warmed up a bit and part way down on the right we saw a barricade of blaze orange snow fence set up apparently blocking the run which cut off to the right. Spencer stopped on the run and told us that the fencing indicated an entry to a ski school run called Ripperoo’s Road. Almost obscured at the tree line, at the high end of the fence was an opening gap about 10-feet wide. Spencer gave us our first lesson for the day: Snow fences can be skied around legally, roped-off runs cannot.

Learn to Ski or Snowboard in Breckenridge, Colorado

FILED IN Ski Boarding No Comments

Winter is drawing near and you’ve decided to learn a new sport, of course snow related. You’ve been scouring the internet and travel magazines what great mountain ski resorts you would want to spend your winter vacation, Breckenridge Co, a perfect place to enjoy a few weeks of great snow and relaxation. You’ve booked yourself in a nice mountain resort in Breckenridge, Colorado and everything is in order, except one thing, you haven’t chosen whether to learn skiing or snowboarding. There are few points for you to consider before choosing your next favorite sport.

Weight in comfort. If you haven’t tried either one, the first thing you should do is try on the gear and see which of which feels right to you. On skiing, the skier’s boots are each snapped to skis. Snowboarders however, attach themselves into a board, yes; the board kinda looks like a skateboard just bigger, probably shinier, and of course minus the wheels. You would get the idea of how you will be able to move with these contraptions attached to your feet. Skiers of course would be facing forward (most of the time) and snowboarders have their lower half of the body sideways and the top half quarter on the side. Just a rough description of what you’ll be in for.

Skiers use very thin but strong poles. The length may vary, usually depending on your height. These poles are used to help skiers launch themselves to start and using it to maintain or gain speed. The poles also help them maintain their balance, on top speeds; the poles are tucked in the armpit as the skier assumed a crouch-like position with the knees firmly together. Boarders however have their hands free and thus use them as their balancing device. Beginners of skiing use the poles to help them stand after a fall, boarders however; since they’re bound to have more difficulty in balancing themselves should be able to scoot their way up. Don’t worry the first thing instructors teach is the correct way to fall. How encouraging.

On the darker side of learning and like any other sport, sports injury should also be considered. It could not be determined which sport is more likely to cause an injury, but it is weigh the different ways you could get hurt and what injuries you are more likely to have in each sport. Snowboarding will be harder to balance, so you will be spending a lot of time of your learning process on your back side. You will be able to use muscle groups you never knew you had since most likely it will hurt right after. When falling however, snowboarders use their hands to break their fall, so wrist injuries are more likely. Skiing will be harder on the knees, so it more common for skiers to develop knee injuries.

Let us consider external factors, like the snow. Breckenridge, depending on the time of season and weather conditions will have both deep, fresh snow and icy, bumpy patches so its perfect for both snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts. Snowboarding is better suited for deep, fresh powder while skiing is a good choice if the snow is more icy and bumpy. So considering your long term plans in choosing your sport.

Speedwise, snowboarding is often depicted as the faster sport and is more likely linked to daring, daredevil, and adrenaline junkies. But skiing can offer the same exciting speeds if the skier is of the same level as the boarder.

So remember that you won’t become a pro overnight. You will experience your muscle hurt in places you don’t even know it could hurt. With patience and determination, you will be able to master any sport you put your heart into. You will be able to glide down the slopes with precision in no time. But remember to prepare yourself for the sunny Breckenridge slopes by applying sunscreen and lip balm, sunburn can take all the fun, not including the unsightly red patches of uneven sunburned skin. Keep hydrated by drinking lots of water. Skiing and snowboarding are a great way to exercise, so go out and enjoy the snow and most of all, have lots of fun.

Ski With the Rich and Famous at Beaver Creek Ski Resort, Colorado, Usa

FILED IN Great Place No Comments

There’s something rather special about Beaver Creek. The creation of the resort was influenced by St.Moritz in Switzerland and Cortina in Italy and the result is an exciting mountain to ski and a village wrapped in luxurious treats.

Perhaps it’s the ski valets who unload your skis from the buses and place them on the snow for you. Or maybe it’s the escalators that take you from the village to the bottom of the lifts, so you don’t have to walk in clumpy ski boots or carry your ski gear. The moving walkway to take you between ski lifts at the bottom of the hill is a great idea and the hot chocolate chip cookies at three o’clock every afternoon really are the icing on the cake.

Beaver Creek is one of those ski resorts that is tucked away, just past Vail on the I 70 corridor in Colorado. As many Denver “weekend warriors” stop at Copper, Breckenridge or the world famous Vail ski resorts before they get to Beaver Creek, this resort stays quiet and untouched. Beaver Creek likes it that way. On busier weekends they even limit the number of skiers allowed on the mountain to keep the slopes empty.

Beaver Creek resort is made up of 3 separate and distinct villages: Beaver Creek village is the first stop for many and really the main centre of the resort. As you enter the village all the walkways are heated and clear of snow. The focal point is an ice rink, where you’ll see children and adults alike practising their skills and picking themselves off the ice. Around the periphery are boutiques, art galleries, the Vilar Center for the Arts, bars and restaurants ranging from reasonably prices to very top end offerings. The fur coat selection is not to be missed.

Bachelor Gulch sports the world renowned Ritz Carlton Hotel and many other homes and condominiums. Fully linked to the other areas, Bachelor Gulch offers mostly intermediate skiing and skiers can make turns all the way down to the Ritz Hotel and often spot swimmers in the indoor-outdoor pool with steam rising from the pool.

Arrowhead Village is the westernmost entrance to the resort and offers the Broken Arrow restaurant and bar with outdoor patio to enjoy some of the 300 days of sunshine whilst watching the skiers & snowboarders come whizzing down the slopes.

The 148 trails and 17 lifts make this a resort of reasonable size and gives plenty of skiing. Designed for all abilities, Beaver Creek can challenge you on its Grouse Mountain bumps or let you relax on Strawberry Park’s gentle groomers. Beaver Creek is big on grooming and you can see those piste bashers on the slopes at any time of day.

And don’t forget the famous World Cup Course for ski racing. The Birds of Prey downhill course attracts hundreds of skiers early in the season to compete on the world cup circuit. The Golden Eagle and other double black diamond runs are part of the course and although not for the faint hearted are definitely skiable for visitors who care to try their skills.

Just outside the resort area are the two towns of Avon and Edwards, which offer accommodation for those of us who haven’t quite made the A star celebrity list. Wildfire Lodge in Avon is a one to be recommended – a European style chalet fits rather well into this setting of elegance and charm. For more info on Vail, Beaver Creek, Wildfire Lodge or other Colorado ski resorts, visit www.chalets-usa.co.uk

Skiing is Just Better in Colorado!

FILED IN Great Place No Comments

Skiing was not something that I did a lot of growing up in the big city.  Not too many mountains lined the horizon outside my back porch, or front porch for that matter.  Our skiing experienced was usually limited too a few small mountains in upstate New Hampshire, or if we really wanted a treat, we would make the two plus hour drive to Maine or better yet Vermont.

I began flirting with the idea to try my hand at skiing out west about two years ago, when a childhood friend went out there for business and was amazed to find a different kind of experience.   The snow seemed more ‘whiter’ as he put it and much more fluffy (yes, our skiing vernacular could turn heads!)  The area of Colorado that he traveled too was Crested Butte, right along the East River Valley; in the county of Gunnison.

Heralded as “the last great Colorado ski town”, Crested Butte has more then just skiing, or snowboarding depending on the age you are.  Outdoor adventurers and nature enthusiasts will love it here as this is what this place is all about.   They host a number of summer festivals, including art festivals, mountain bike festival, a rubber duck race and a wildflower festival.  Just a quick side note, helping to further entice the wildflower lover in you, the municipality is nicknamed “Wildflower Capital of Colorado”.  But skiing is its foray.  With mountains rising to an astonishing 12,162 feet above sea level, its not wonder that the US Extreme Skiing Championships and the X Games have called this place home on more then one occasion.  14 lifts that serve 1, 058 acres, 448 acres of that total are double black runs…a nerve tingling experience that is far more advanced than this ‘skier’ cares to take on!

Like everything else these days, it’s not the desire of going to places like Crested Butte, but exactly how…as in how can I afford to go.  I have spoken to others about it, and there immediate reaction is “it is too far or too difficult to get to”. However, it is just a quick airplane trip from Denver. Unless you are like my friend and have a nice business meeting in this gorgeous place, it might be a bit difficult to find a good deal.  I have, because it’s what I do, found a perfect deal.  A “Buy two get one free” airline deal that is going on for a limited time.  Ending November 6, 2008 if you buy two airline tickets starting at $720 you get one airline ticket free.  This amazing deal includes five night lodging, 4 days of lift tickets and ground transportation.

And how about those baggage credits that the airlines have tacked on to their flights?  Well, sadly, the airlines are not going to drop that fee; but how about if you had that fee paid for you?  Included with this package, comes a $30 baggage credit – $15 each way- that will reduce the pressure of all that want to travel to Crested Butte.

So, if skiing/snowboarding is on your agenda for a nice vacation, or you just want to look out your porch and see some of the most amazing snow capped mountains anywhere in the country, Crested Butte, Colorado is the place to be ~ Pure & Simple!

Discount Lift Tickets – Learn What Colorado Ski Resorts Do not Want you to Know!

FILED IN Great Place No Comments

How to get Discount lift tickets for Keystone Colorado, Breckenridge Colorado, Arapahoe Basin Colorado, Loveland Ski Area Colorado, Copper Mountain Colorado, Winter Park Colorado, Vail Colorado, Beaver Creek Colorado.

Discount Lift Tickets in Colorado- All Colorado ski resorts make it difficult for anyone coming from out of state to get a great deal on lift tickets. Don’t expect to get a great deal anywhere if you didn’t start looking in late September or early October. As your Keystone Lodging provider, we can help, but WE DO NOT SELL LIFT TICKETS.

The most expensive way to ski is to buy your lift tickets at the ticket window without any coupons. The following information will help you find the best deal around no matter what time of year.

Colorado Ski Season Passes

If you are in Colorado in April, September or October, you can look into buying a season pass for Keystone, Breckenridge, and A-Basin. Both Loveland and Copper Mountain sometimes sell season passes into November. If you plan on skiing 5 or more days, a season pass to one of the areas ski resorts will more than pay for itself and is the cheapest way to go…even though you won’t get to use it for the entire season.

:: Keystone :: Breckenridge :: A-Basin :: Vail :: Beaver Creek ::

Season passes are sold along the front range at places like Gart Sports, REI, and Christy Sports. Season passes for Keystone, Breckenridge and A-Basin usually cost around $329. A 2nd option is to pay slightly more and get 10 days at Vail or Beaver Creek added to that same pass. You MUST buy these in person, and you typically have to use it at least once before the holiday season, or it will become invalid for the rest of the year. These passes do have blackout dates during the holidays and during Presidents Day weekend usually, so make sure you read the fine print before purchasing these ski passes. If you’re planning an early season trip (Before December 20th) AND a later prime ski season trip (January – April), this is by far the least expensive way to go. Best of all, once you get a pass that you have to buy in person, you can renew it over the web year after year.

:: Arapahoe Basin Only ::

This year, Arapahoe Basin is offering a season pass of thier own. For the 2005-2006 ski season, these are only $239. This allows unlimited skiing at Arapahoe Basin, but also allows you to ski at Keystone or Breckenridge for 5 days. One of the 5 days can be used at either Vail or Beaver Creek. This is an awesome deal if you’re coming out for a short trip of 5 days or more. Best of all, you can buy these over the phone and just pick them up at the base area of Arapahoe Basin. As always, get in on this deal EARLY. Passes are usually sold in September and October only. Check out the Arapahoe Basin Website for full details.

:: Copper Mountain :: Winter Park :: Mary Jane ::

Copper Mountain is offering season passes for the 2005-2006 ski season for only $279. You can buy these without being present, but you must submit a photo of yourself so they can print your pass. Add a few more dollars and you can ski Winter Park and Mary Jane too. However, Winter Park is a solid 1 hour drive from Summit County. Still, the skiing at Mary Jane is legendary and you won’t be disappointed with your day excursion to the snowpack in the Fraser Valley of Colorado.

:: Loveland Ski Area ::

Lesser known by people from out-of state, Loveland is a very inexpensive option. You’ll see Loveland Ski area on your way into Summit County on the East Portal of the Eisenhower Tunnel. The closest ski lodging to Loveland is in Keystone….only 15 miles away. Loveland offers season passes for $253. Being an independant ski resort, you can only ski at Loveland. Loveland is one of the highest ski resorts on North America and they are usually the first to open the ski season in North America in October. Check the webste for details. They have an outstanding variety of terrain and there are little or no crowds at any given time.

++++++++++++ Warning ++++++++++++

Do not EVER try to use a 4 pack or season pass that is not yours. There are extremely stiff penalties including large fines and possible jail time if you are caught. The lift operators WILL catch you. A free lift ride is simply not worth the consequences.

++++++++++++ Warning ++++++++++++

Colorado Ski Resort “Four Packs”

Another money-saving tip is to buy what is called a “4 pack” for your ski resort of choice. A “4 pack” is 4 days of skiing for any 1 person. Typically the ski resorts sell these early in the season, but have also been known to sell them again in late March or in April. Buying late in the season is ideal…unknown to many, April is usually the snowiest month in Colorado!

:: Keystone :: Breckenridge ::

For the Keystone and Breckenridge 4 packs, you must buy them in person and they are not transferrable. In previous years they have been transferrable until people started selling them for a profit on eBay. $ packs usually run about $99 and are bought in the same fashion that a Season Pass is bought. The 4 packs do have blackout dates, so read the fine print carefully.

:: Copper Mountain :: Winter Park :: Mary Jane ::

Copper Mountain offers 4 packs for only $69 and ARE transferrable. This deal usually is around for about a week and may have already passed. If so, you’re still in luck…both Copper Mountain and Winter Park offer 4 packs for $120, which is still only $30 per day. This offer expires on Dec 9th 2005, so jump on this quickly if you want to get in on the deal! There are usually rules and restrictions as to the dates you can use the 4 pack, so check the fine print carefully.

:: Loveland Ski Area ::

Loveland also offers a 4 pack as well for the 2005-2006 ski season. The 4 packs run only $99 but are only available through November 21st 2005. There are no blackout dates on these 4 packs and can be used anytime during the 2005-2006 ski season at Loveland.

:: Aspen :: Snowmass ::

Okay, so these 2 resorts aren’t really all that close to Summit County, but if you want to see what celebrities do during the winter in Colorado…try Aspen or Snowmass for a day. Cheap passes are available, but you have to get them in person. They are available up until November 20th, 2005 at select locations around the Colorado Front Range.

Other ways to get Discount Lift Tickets

Are you a member of the armed forces? Keystone has a special setup with any active duty military, Reservists, National Guard and dependents. Rocky Mountain Blue offers a Freedom Pass for only $129. This pass is good for unlimited skiing at Keystone or Arapahoe Basin. It can be purchased at military bases in colorado including Buckley AFB, Peterson AFB, Schriever AFB, F.E. Warren AFB, Fort Carson and the Air force Academy. You can purchase this anytime during the 2005-2006 ski season and it is good through closing day at Keystone. THIS IS THE BEST LIFT TICKET DEAL IN COLORADO.

Keystone Lift Tickets Sign up for a free Colorado Gem Card. These cards will give you discounts at other ski areas that are further away. The closest resort that accepts this card is Loveland Ski area, which is about 15 miles away right at the Eisenhower Tunnel on the Continental Divide.

Keystone Lift Tickets Know someone with a season pass? Season Pass holders usually can buy a lift ticket for you for a deeply discounted price of $29-$59. The number of times they can do this is limited.

Keystone Lift Tickets Don’t forget eBay! Many times people will buy a package deal and not be able to use it. Sometimes it’s a 4 pack, sometimes it’s someone who has an inside track to the resort and is trying to make some money on the side. Either way, MAKE SURE you check the lift tickets carefully to make sure you know what you’re getting. Search around and see what you can find!

Keystone Lift Tickets Buy an Entertainment book for the Denver area. These books are PACKED with ski coupons. We typically buy these books and keep them available for our guests to use. The coupons are for slightly discounted lift tickets. ($5 – $10 off ticket window prices) There are also coupons for ski school.

Keystone Lift Tickets Buy your tickets on the front range in or around Denver. Go to any Safeway or King Soopers grocery stores, or ski and snowboard rental shop. They sell disount lift tickets for most ski areas.

Keystone Lift Tickets As your Keystone Lodging provider, just ask us and we’ll do what we can to get you the right information you need or point you in the right direction to save you the most money given the time period of your visit. We typically keep a packet of coupons just for our guests use. When booking, please email or call us with your requests and we will mail coupons to you before you arrive. Coupons are first come first serve. These coupons usually come from Entertainment Books, and wherever else we can find them. We do not sell lift tickets.

BE CAREFUL – Some other lodging providers will entice you with a “package deal” saying that they will give you discounted lift tickets after your reserve your lodging…only to suddenly “run out” of the lift tickets after they have your money.
